The difference between concrete mixing station and mixing tower

The purpose of concrete batching plant and concrete mixing tower is to produce concrete. Although the two equipments are only one letter different, their entire equipment composition, production methods, production capacity, etc. are very different.

1. Equipment composition: ‌

Concrete batching plant is mainly composed of five major systems, including mixing host, material weighing system, material conveying system, material storage system and control system

Concrete mixing tower reduces four intermediate links in aggregate metering and adopts vertical material metering, which greatly improves production efficiency. ‌

2. Production process: ‌

Concrete mixing tower: The bulk raw materials such as gravel and sand stored in the material yard and cement stored in the silo are transported and lifted to the storage bin on the upper part of the equipment body through the aggregate and powder collection and transportation system. The various materials complete the storage, batching, mixing and discharging work process from top to bottom in the equipment body. It is the mixing tower.

Concrete mixing station: The main body of the equipment has no storage bin. The aggregate is lifted and fed to the mixer after batching, and the powder is fed directly to the metering device of the main body by the screw conveyor.

3. Aggregate transportation process:

The aggregate bin of the concrete mixing station is at the bottom. After the aggregate is measured, it needs to be transported by an inclined belt (or elevator) to enter the mixer.

The aggregate bin of the concrete mixing plant is at the top. The aggregate is directly fed into the mixer after being measured. Therefore, the structure of the mixing plant is larger and the inclined belt is relatively longer. ‌

4. Convenience of migration: ‌

Due to its detachable structure, the concrete mixing station is easy to migrate and is suitable for scenes that require frequent changes in construction sites and construction sites. ‌

The concrete mixing plant is large in size and can only be used as a fixed mixing equipment. It is usually suitable for large-scale water conservancy projects or commercial concrete supply. ‌

5. Production capacity: ‌

Under the same model, the productivity of the mixing plant is about one-fifth higher than that of the mixing plant, and the production efficiency of the mixing plant is one-third higher than that of the mixing plant. ‌

From the above, we can see that the mixing station is suitable for small and medium-sized production and flexible migration scenarios; while the mixing plant is more suitable for large-scale construction sites or large-scale water conservancy projects with its advantages of high production efficiency, large production volume and low energy consumption.
