What is an Articulated Self-Loading Concrete Mixer Truck?

HAOMEI Machinery produces articulated self-loading concrete mixer trucks that feature automatic loading, automatic mixing, autonomous pumping, and self-unloading functions, meeting a wide range of operational needs. With adjustable loading capacities, these trucks provide flexible production, significantly improving concrete production efficiency and quality while reducing construction costs. As a result, they are widely used in various construction projects.

The main advantage of this mixer truck is its articulated chassis combined with a forced mixing system, which delivers excellent mobility and off-road capability. The articulated body allows the vehicle to "bend," enabling it to navigate rough terrain, narrow mountain roads, and complex construction sites with ease. This makes it particularly suitable for rural construction, bridges and tunnels, and hydraulic engineering projects where maneuverability is critical.

HAOMEI Machinery manufactures self-loading concrete mixer trucks with capacities ranging from 1.2 to 6.5 cubic meters, suitable for various construction environments. Customers can choose models according to their project requirements.

Core Features of the Articulated Self-Loading Concrete Mixer Truck

1. Highly integrated : combines loading, mixing, transporting, and unloading functions in a single vehicle.

2. Forced mixing system : ensures uniform mixing of concrete, especially suitable for dry and stiff mixes.

3. Articulated chassis : flexible turning capability, ideal for narrow or constrained job sites.

4. Automatic loading : front-end bucket and boom system reduces labor intensity.

5. 270-degree rotating mixing drum : flexible discharge positions for precise on-site pouring.

Main Applications

  • Small or scattered projects : such as rural housing or small-scale hydraulic works, without reliance on large batching plants.

  • Space-constrained job sites : including urban road repairs, interior renovations, and tunnel construction, where mobility is a key advantage.

  • Projects with high-quality concrete requirements : forced mixing ensures homogeneous concrete and consistent strength.

Operating Process of the Self-Loading Concrete Mixer Truck

Automatic Loading:
The driver can operate the front-end bucket from inside the cabin. The bucket collects sand, gravel, and cement and uses a weighing system to ensure accurate batching before delivering the materials into the mixing drum.

Automatic Mixing:
Water is added according to the preset formula from the onboard tank. The forced mixing system's high-speed rotating blades thoroughly blend the materials, preventing segregation. The onboard computer continuously monitors the mixing process to ensure consistent concrete quality.

Transportation Stage:
The mixing drum rotates at a low speed to prevent concrete from hardening. The articulated chassis allows the truck to navigate rough or narrow construction sites while safely delivering concrete to the desired location.

Discharging Stage:
The driver adjusts the drum rotation and speed via the control panel to discharge concrete precisely from multiple angles. This integrated process-from raw materials to finished concrete-makes the truck ideal for remote or high-efficiency-required construction projects.
