The difference between drum mixer and forced mixer
Forced concrete mixer has a stationary mixing drum, and the uniformly placed blades on the rotating shaft inside the drum force mixing. The mixing quality of the mixer is very good and the production efficiency is high; but its disadvantages are high power consumption and fast blade wear. It is commonly used in mixing dry hard concrete.
Drum concrete mixer, also known as self-falling mixer, is to put the mixture in a rotating mixing drum. As the mixing drum rotates, the blades in the drum can raise the mixture to a certain height, and then it can be freely scattered by its own weight, and it will be repeated until it is mixed. This mixer generally mixes plastic and semi-plastic concrete.
Forced mixer and drum mixer are both equipment used to produce and process concrete. There are certain differences in appearance and performance between the two. The differences are as follows:
1. Different mixing structure
Forced mixer uses a high-speed rotating mixing device with blades and blades, which can effectively mix powder, sand, gravel, water, etc. evenly, and has a very high mixing intensity. The drum mixer is composed of one or more large drums, which rely on the rolling of the drum to complete the mixing of concrete, and the mixing effect is relatively mild.
2. Different discharging methods
The discharging method of the forced mixer is usually realized by an automatic unloading door, which can be opened and closed by the control system on the mixer, or by manual control of the operator. The discharging methods of the drum mixer are divided into two types: forward discharging and reverse discharging, which need to be controlled by the control system on the mixer.
3. Different control methods
The control method of the forced mixer is generally a PLC automatic control system, which can ensure the mixing accuracy and production efficiency. The control method of the drum mixer is relatively simple, usually manual operation or basic electronic control system.
4. Different scope of application
The forced mixer is used in various large, medium and small prefabricated component plants and industrial and civil construction projects such as highways, bridges, water conservancy, and docks. It can mix plastic concrete, fluid concrete, light orthopedic concrete and various mortars. It is a high-efficiency model and is widely used in non-mixed dry hard concrete.
Drum mixers are suitable for general construction sites, roads, bridge projects and small and medium-sized concrete component plants. When mixing in a fixed position, a pit can be dug to make the hopper mouth flush with the ground, which is convenient for feeding and greatly reduces labor intensity.
